In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 12 April 2024 to 6 p.m. on 31 May 2024, the section of South Lantau Road from a point about 80 metres west of its junction with Old Tung Chung Road to a point about 200 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

       Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

       At the same time, the existing speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour on the above road section will be temporarily rescinded.
