ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)
Restricted Zones in Tai Po

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 6.00 a.m. on 30 April 2024, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

    1. the northern kerbside lane of the eastbound carriageway of Sai Sha Road from a point about 125 metres east of its junction with the unnamed access road leading to Nai Chung Public Transport Interchange to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction;
    2. the section of the unnamed access road leading to Nai Chung Public Transport Interchange from its junction with Sai Sha Road to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;
    3. the southern kerbside lane of the exit road of Nai Chung Carpark from its junction with the unnamed access road leading to Nai Chung Public Transport Interchange to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;
    4. the southern kerbside lane of the westbound carriageway of Sai Sha Road from a point about 25 metres east of its junction with the unnamed access road leading to Sai O to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;
    5. the section of the unnamed access road leading to Sai O from its junction with Sai Sha Road to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction;
    6. the northern kerbside lane of the eastbound carriageway of Sai Sha Road from a point about 25 metres east of its junction with the unnamed access road leading to Nai Chung to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction;
    7. the section of the unnamed access road leading to Nai Chung from its junction with Sai Sha Road to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;
    8. the northern kerbside lane of the eastbound carriageway of Sai Sha Road from a point about 25 metres west of its western junction with the unnamed access road leading to Che Ha to a point about 65 metres east of the same junction;
    9. the section of the unnamed access road leading to Che Ha from a point of its western junction with Sai Sha Road to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction;
    10. the southern kerbside lane of the westbound carriageway of Sai Sha Road from a point about 20 metres east of its western junction with the unnamed access road leading to Kwun Hang to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction;
    11. the section of the unnamed access road leading to Kwun Hang from its western junction with Sai Sha Road to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction;
    12. the western kerbside lane of the northbound carriageway of Sai Sha Road from a point about 20 metres south of its eastern junction with the unnamed access road leading to Kwun Hang to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;
    13. the section of the unnamed access road leading to Kwun Hang from its eastern junction with Sai Sha Road to a point about 5 metres west of the same junction;
    14. the western kerbside lane of the northbound carriageway of Sai Sha Road from a point about 20 metres south of its junction with the unnamed access road leading to Ma On Shan Treatment Works to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction;
    15. the section of the unnamed access road leading to Ma On Shan Treatment Works from its junction with Sai Sha Road to a point about 5 metres west of the same junction;
    16. the eastern kerbside lane of the southbound carriageway of Sai Sha Road from its junction with the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Ma Kwu Lam to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction;
    17. the eastern kerbside lane of the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Ma Kwu Lam from a point about 20 metres north of its junction with the unnamed access road leading to Ma Kwu Lam to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction;
    18. the eastern kerbside lane of the southbound carriageway of Sai Sha Road from its junction with the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Ma Kwu Lam to a point about 30 metres south of the same junction;
    19. the section of the unnamed access road leading to Ma Kwu Lam from its junction with the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Ma Kwu Lam to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;
    20. the western kerbside lane of the northbound carriageway of Sai Sha Road from its junction with the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Ma Kwu Lam to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction;
    21. the western kerbside lane of the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Ma Kwu Lam from a point about 15 metres south of its junction with the unnamed access road leading to Section A of Tai Po Town Lot No. 253 to a point about 45 metres north of the same junction;
    22. the western kerbside lane of the northbound carriageway of Sai Sha Road from its junction with the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Ma Kwu Lam to a point about 40 metres south of the same junction;
    23. the section of the unnamed access road leading to Section A of Tai Po Town Lot No. 253 from its junction with the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Ma Kwu Lam to a point about 5 metres west of the same junction;
    24. the eastern kerbside lane of the southbound carriageway of Sai Sha Road from its junction with the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Hoi Ying Road to a point about 40 metres north of the same junction;
    25. the eastern kerbside lane of the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Hoi Ying Road from a point about 20 metres north of its junction with Hoi Ying Road to a point about 35 metres south of the same junction;
    26. the section of Hoi Ying Road from its junction with the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Hoi Ying Road to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;
    27. the western kerbside lane of the northbound carriageway of Sai Sha Road from its junction with the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Hoi Ying Road to a point about 35 metres north of the same junction;
    28. the western kerbside lane of the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Hoi Ying Road;
    29. the northern kerbside lane of the eastbound carriageway of Hoi Ying Road from a point about 10 metres west of its junction with the unnamed access road leading to Tai Tung to a point about 35 metres east of the same junction;
    30. the southern kerbside lane of the westbound carriageway of Hoi Ying Road from a point about 35 metres east of its junction with the unnamed access road leading to Tai Tung to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;
    31. the section of the unnamed access road leading to Tai Tung from its junction with Hoi Ying Road to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction;
    32. the northern kerbside lane of the eastbound carriageway of Hoi Ying Road from a point about 65 metres west of its junction with the roundabout on Hoi Ying Road near Tseng Tau to a point about 95 metres west of the same junction;
    33. the northern kerbside lane of the eastbound carriageway of Hoi Ying Road from its junction with the roundabout on Hoi Ying Road near Tseng Tau to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction;
    34. the northern kerbside lane of the roundabout on Hoi Ying Road near Tseng Tau from a point about 30 metres west of its junction with the unnamed access road leading to the Remaining Portion of Tai Po Town Lot No. 157 to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction;
    35. the section of the unnamed access road leading to the Remaining Portion of Tai Po Town Lot No. 157 from its junction with the roundabout on Hoi Ying Road near Tseng Tau to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction;
    36. the northern kerbside lane of the eastbound carriageway of Hoi Ying Road from its junction with the roundabout on Hoi Ying Road near Tseng Tau to a point about 95 metres east of the same junction;
    37. the southern kerbside lane of the westbound carriageway of Hoi Ying Road from its junction with the roundabout on Hoi Ying Road near Tseng Tau to a point about 50 metres east of the same junction;
    38. the southern kerbside lane of the roundabout on Hoi Ying Road near Tseng Tau from a point about 25 metres east of its junction with the unnamed access road leading to the Remaining Portion of Tai Po Town Lot No. 253 to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction;
    39. the southern kerbside lane of the westbound carriageway of Hoi Ying Road from its junction with the roundabout on Hoi Ying Road near Tseng Tau to a point about 90 metres west of the same junction;
    40. the section of the unnamed access road leading to the Remaining Portion of Tai Po Town Lot No. 253 from its junction with the roundabout on Hoi Ying Road near Tseng Tau to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

    1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs or road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
