Temporary Traffic and Public Transport Arrangements on Ping Che Road, North District
Members of the public are advised that to facilitate the sewerage works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on Ping Che Road from 10 a.m. on 6 May 2024 (Monday) to 6 p.m. on 21 June 2024 (Friday).
- Temporary One-Lane Two-Way Traffic
Ping Che Road from a point about 60 metres south of its junction with Kong Nga Po Road to a point about 30 metres north of the same junction will be temporarily converted to one-lane two-way traffic.
- Banning of Turning Movement
All vehicles over 10 metres in length on Kong Nga Po Road eastbound will be temporarily prohibited from making right turn onto Ping Che Road southbound.
- Traffic Diversion
Affected vehicles on Kong Nga Po Road eastbound heading to Ping Che Road southbound will be diverted via Ping Che Road northbound, Lin Ma Hang Road eastbound, Slip Road of Heung Yuen Wai Highway northbound, Heung Yuen Wai Highway northbound, Heung Yuen Wai Highway southbound, Slip Road of Heung Yuen Wai Highway southbound, Lin Ma Hang Road southbound, Lin Ma Hang Road westbound and Ping Che Road southbound.
- Transport Arrangements
(i) The bus stop of KMB Route Nos. 79K at Ping Che Road southbound near Lei Uk Tsuen will be temporarily relocated to 125 metres northwards; and
(ii)The stop of New Territories GMB Route No. 52K at Kong Nga Po Road eastbound near Ping Che Road will be temporarily relocated to 65 metres westwards.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive with utmost care. The bus company and GMB operator will display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements.
