Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Tin Shui Wai to facilitate the holding of a cycling race on 23 June 2024 (Sunday):
(A) Road Closure
From 5.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon, the following sections of roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic:
(1) Tin Ying Road between Tin Shui Road and Ping Ha Road;
(2) Tin Sau Road between Tin Shui Road and Tin Ying Road;
(3) Tin Wah Road between Tin Shui Road and Man Tak Road; and
(4) Tin Yuet Road.
(B) Traffic Diversion
(1) During period of road closure, motorists on Hung Tin Road via Tin Ying Road, or on Lau Fau Shan Road via Tin Wah Road, heading for Tin Shui Wai are advised to travel via Ping Ha Road, Tin Yiu Road, Tin Wu Road and Tin Shui Road;
(2) Motorists on Tin Ying Road via Hung Tin Road heading for Yuen Long Highway are advised to travel via Tin Shui Road, Tin Wu Road, Tin Yiu Road and Ping Ha Road; and
(3) Motorists on Tin Yuet Road via Tin Ying Road heading for Tin Shui Wai or Hung Tin Road are advised to travel via Deep Bay Road, Lau Fau Shan Road and Ping Ha Road.
(C) Public Transport Services Arrangements
(1) During period of road closure, the following bus service diversions will be implemented:
(a) MTR Bus Route No. K76 will be diverted to operate via Tin Shui Road, Tin Wu Road, Tin Yiu Road and Ping Ha Road in lieu of Tin Wah Road, Tin Ying Road and Ping Ha Road before resuming its normal routeing in both bounds. The existing bus stops on Ping Ha Road will be suspended.
(2) During period of road closure, the following GMB service diversions will be implemented:
(a) GMB Route No. 34A will be truncated to operate between Ha Tsuen and Tin Wah Road near Tin Shui Road; and
(b) GMB Route No. 618 will be diverted to operate via Tin Shui Road, Tin Wu Road, Tin Yiu Road and Ping Ha Road in lieu of Tin Ying Road, Tin Wah Road and Ping Ha Road before resuming its normal routeing in both bounds. The existing GMB stop on Ping Ha Road will be suspended.
(D) Attention and Appeal
Appropriate temporary traffic signs will be erected on site by the event organiser to guide motorists. Motorists are advised not to drive to the affected areas, and to drive with utmost care and patience and take heed of the instruction given by the Police on site. Notices will be posted up by the public transport operators at terminal points and inside vehicle compartment to advise passengers of the service changes.
