In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 7 a.m. on 7 February 2025, the following road sections will continue to be temporarily designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

• the northern kerbside lane of Ying Tung Road about 120 metres east from its junction with the slip road to Ying Tung Estate to a point about 180 metres east of the same junction;
• the southern kerbside lane of Ying Tung Road about 160 metres east from its junction with the slip road to Ying Tung Estate to a point about 180 metres east of the same junction; and
• the eastern and western kerbside lanes of temporary road connecting to Ying Tung Road from a point of its junction with Ying Tung Road to a point about 150 metres south of the same junction at the cul-de-sac.

          Within the above restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

• picking up or setting down passengers; or
• loading or unloading goods.

          Within the above restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except goods vehicle and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

• picking up or setting down passengers; or
• loading or unloading goods.

          The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

          At the same time, the existing temporary restricted zones on the above sections as gazetted under G.N. 4957 on 23 August 2024 will be rescinded.
