The Transport Department (TD) anticipates that there may be a number of cross-boundary passengers taking public transport services to travel to the Mainland / Macao via the land boundary control points during and around the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. As the waiting time for public transport services may be longer, passengers should observe order and heed advice from the on-site Police and staff of the concerned public transport service operators. Cross-boundary coach passengers are also advised to plan their journeys and reserve coach tickets ahead.
Members of the public are also advised that, subject to actual traffic conditions, special traffic arrangements may be implemented at Lok Ma Chau Control Point and Shenzhen Bay Port from 13 September to the early morning of 19 September 2024 to facilitate public transport vehicles to enter the above control points smoothly. Motorists are advised to pay extra attention to variable message signs and traffic signs along the road. Motorists are also appealed to be patient in case of traffic congestion, and follow instructions of the Police Officers on site.
