Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the holding of the Opening Ceremony of Tai Po District Activities in Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China - Lam Tsuen River Grand Parade, Drone and Variety Show, the following special traffic arrangements will be implemented in Tai Po on 21 September 2024 during the periods as specified below:
The section of Tai Po Tai Wo Road eastbound between Ting Kok Road and Nam Wan Road will be temporarily closed, all motor vehicles, except emergency vehicles and those authorized by police officers on-site, will be prohibited from driving into the above closed road.
The following road sections will be intermittently closed:
(ii) From 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm
The section of Tai Po Tai Wo Road both bounds between On Cheung Road and Nam Wan Road will be temporarily closed, all motor vehicles, except emergency vehicles and those authorized by police officers on-site, will be prohibited from driving into the above closed road.
(iii) From 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm
The section of Dai King Street both bounds south of Dai Hei Street will be temporarily closed, all motor vehicles, except franchised buses, emergency vehicles and those authorized by police officers on-site, will be prohibited from driving into the above closed road.
(II) CLOSURE OF CYCLING TRACK
The section of cycling track along Lam Tsuen River between Kwong Fuk Bridge and Nam Wan Road will be temporarily closed from 4.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
15 metered parking spaces (nos. 26734 A&B to 26741B) at Dai King Street will be suspended from 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
Police officers will be on site to guide members of the public. During the closure of the above cycle tracks, cyclists are required to dismount upon entering the above mentioned cycle track. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police officers on site. Members of the public are advised to plan their journey early and allow additional traveling time to avoid delays.
