ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (Chapter 374)
TEMPORARY SPEED LIMITS ON SHA TIN ROAD AND SHA LEK HIGHWAY
In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect daily from 1.00 am to 5.00 am between 10 December and 13 December 2024, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour: -

- The section of Sha Tin Road eastbound from a point about 555 metres east of its junction with Lion Rock Tunnel Road to a point about 1205 metres east of the same junction;
- The section of Sha Tin Road westbound from a point about 275 metres east of its junction with Sha Lek Highway to a point about 660 metres west of the same junction;
- The slip road leading from Sha Tin Wai Road to Sha Tin Road westbound from a point about 140 metres south of its junction with Sha Tin Wai Road to its junction with Sha Tin Road westbound; and
- The section of Sha Lek Highway westbound from a point about 125 metres east of its junction with Sha Tin Road to the same junction.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
At the same time, the existing speed limits on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
