ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN STANLEY
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 3 January 2025, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-
(a) The eastern kerbside lane of Stanley New Street from its junction with Stanley Village Road to a point about 80 metres south of the same junction;
(b) The western kerbside lane of Stanley Village Road from its junction with Stanley New Street to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction;
(c) The northern kerbside lane of Stanley Market Road from its junction with Stanley New Street to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;
(d) The western kerbside lane of Stanley New Street from its junction with Stanley Market Road to a point about 30 metres north of the same junction;
(e) The western kerbside lane of Stanley New Street from its junction with Stanley Market Road to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction;
(f) The southern kerbside lane of Stanley Market Road from its junction with Stanley New Street to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction;
(g) The western kerbside lane of Stanley Market Road from a point about 10 metres north of its junction with Stanley Main Street to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction;
(h) The cul-de-sac of Stanley Main Street from a point about 110 metres west of its junction with Stanley Market Road.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-
(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
