Traffic Advice
Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on Kwai Chung Road, Tsuen Wan Road, Kwai Tsing Road and Hing Fong Road, Kwai Chung
Members of public are advised that to facilitate road resurfacing works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on Kwai Chung Road, Tsuen Wan Road, Kwai Tsing Road and Hing Fong Road, Kwai Chung from 0.01 a.m. to 6.00 a.m. on 11, 14, 18, 21, 25 and 28 February 2025 respectively:
(I) Road Closure
The following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:
- The middle lane of Kwai Chung Road (northbound) from its junction with Tsuen Wan Road (northbound) to a point about 150 metres south of the same junction;
- Part of the traffic lane of Tsuen Wan Road (northbound) from its junction with Kwai Chung Road (northbound) to a point about 450 metres north of the same junction;
- Part of the traffic lanes of Tsuen Wan Road (northbound) from a point about 480 metres north of its junction with Kwai Chung Road (northbound) to a point about 1240 metres north of the same junction; and
- The slip road connecting Kwai Tsing Road and Tsuen Wan Road (northbound).
(II) Banning of Turning Movement
- All vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from making left turn at Kwai Tsing Road (eastbound) onto the slip road leading to Tsuen Wan Road (northbound); and
- All vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from making right turn at Hing Fong Road (westbound) onto the slip road leading to Tsuen Wan Road (northbound).
(III) Traffic Diversion
- Affected vehicles on Kwai Tsing Road (eastbound) heading for Airport Express Station / Tsing Yi / Lantau / Tsuen Wan / Sha Tin / Tuen Mun will be diverted via Hing Fong Road (eastbound), Kwai Fuk Road (northbound), Texaco Road (westbound) and Tsuen Tsing Interchange; and
- Affected vehicles on Hing Fong Road (westbound) heading for Airport Express Station / Tsing Yi / Lantau / Tsuen Wan / Sha Tin / Tuen Mun will be diverted via Kwai Tsing Road (westbound), Kwai King Road (southbound), Kwai Tai Road (southbound), Container Port Road South Roundabout No.1, Kwai Tai Road (northbound), Kwai King Road (northbound), Kwai Tsing Road (westbound), Kwai Tsing Road (eastbound), Hing Fong Road (eastbound), Kwai Fuk Road (northbound), Texaco Road (westbound) and Tsuen Tsing Interchange.
(IV) Public Transport Service Arrangement
- LWB Route Nos. A30 (Airport (Ground Transportation Centre) Bound) and NA30 (HZMB Hong Kong Port Bound) will be diverted to travel via Kwai Tsing Road (westbound), Tsing Yi Interchange, Tsing Yi Road (southbound), Ching Hong Road (northbound), Tsing Yi Road West (southbound), Cheung Tsing Highway (westbound), North West Tsing Yi Interchange and Lantau Link (westbound) before resuming the original routeing; and
- Residents' Service Route No. NR332 (Ma Wan (Tung Wan Bus Terminus) Bound) will be diverted to travel via Kwai Tsing Road (westbound), Tsing Yi Heung Sze Wui Road (northbound), Tsing King Road (northbound), Tam Kon Shan Interchange and Tsing Yi North Coastal Road (westbound) before resuming the original routeing.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
