ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN SHEK O
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 14 February 2025, the following road sections will be designated as a restricted zone 24 hours daily:
(a) The eastern kerbside lane of Shek O Road from its junction with Shek O Village Road to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction;
(b) The northern kerbside lane of Shek O Village Road from its junction with Shek O Road to a point about 225 metres east of the same junction;
(c) The northern kerbside lane of Shek O Village Road from a point about 233 metres east of its junction with Shek O Road to a point about 308 metres east of the same junction;
(d) The southern kerbside lane of Shek O Village Road from its junction with Shek O Road to a point about 295 metres east of the same junction;
(e) The southern kerbside lane of Shek O Road from its junction with Shek O Village Road to a point about 35 metres west of the same junction; and
(f) The western kerbside lane of Shek O Road from a point about 25 metres north of its junction with Shek O Village Road to a point about 60 metres west of the same junction.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-
(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
