ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374 SUB. LEG. G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN QUARRY BAY

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374 sub. leg. G, I hereby direct that with effect from 0.00 a.m. on 17 February 2025, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

(a) the western kerbside lane of Hoi Chak Street from a point about 5 metres north of its junction with Finnie Street to a point about 55 metres north of the same junction;
(b) the western kerbside lane of Mount Parker Road from its junction with Quarry Bay Street to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;
(c) the southern kerbside lane of Hoi Yu Street from its junction with Hoi Chak Street to a point about 110 metres east of the same junction;
(d) the northern kerbside lane of Hoi Yu Street from a point about 40 meters west of its cul-de-sac to a point about 390 metres west of the same cul-de-sac;
(e) the section of Hoi Yu Street from its cul-de-sac to a point about 30 metres west of the same cul-de-sac;
(f) the southern kerbside of Hoi Yu Street from a point about 30 metres west of its cul-de-sac to a point about 390 metres west of the same cul-de-sac; and
(g) the eastern kerbside lane of Hoi Chak Street from its junction with Hoi Yu Street to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.

The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
