TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE
Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Sheung Wan

        Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the tram track renewal works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements in Sheung Wan will be implemented from 10.00 am on 14 April 2025 to 11.59 pm on 28 May 2025:-

I. Temporary Traffic Arrangements

A. Road Closure
The service road of Connaught Road West eastbound between Des Voeux Road West and Morrison Street will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic (except trams).

B. Lane Closure
The following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic (except trams):-

(i) Part of the rightmost traffic lane of Des Voeux Road West eastbound between Bonham Strand West and Connaught Road West; and

(ii) Part of the rightmost traffic lane of Des Voeux Road West westbound outside Connaught Marina.

C. Banning of Turning Movement
Vehicles on Des Voeux Road West eastbound will be prohibited from making right turn onto the service road of Connaught Road West eastbound.

D. Traffic Diversion
Vehicles on Des Voeux Road West eastbound heading for Des Voeux Road Central eastbound shall be diverted via Connaught Road West eastbound and Rumsey Street southbound.

II. Temporary Transport Arrangements

A. Bus Diversion
Citybus Route nos. 5B and 10 will be diverted via Connaught Road West eastbound and Rumsey Street southbound.

B. Bus Stop Arrangement
The bus stop of Citybus Route nos. 5B and 10 at Des Voeux Road Central outside Wing On Centre will be temporarily relocated about 80 metres eastward to Des Voeux Road Central outside Infinitus Plaza.

        Appropriate traffic signs and road markings will be provided on site to guide motorists. The bus company will display notices to inform passengers of the above temporary public transport arrangements.
