Traffic Advice
Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on Container Port Road, Kwai Hong Street and Kwai Tai Road, Kwai Chung

Members of the public are advised that to facilitate lifting works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on Container Port Road, Kwai Hong Street and Kwai Tai Street, Kwai Chung from 7.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on 20 and 27 April 2025 respectively:

(I) Lane Closure

The following lanes will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:

• Part of the traffic lanes of Container Port Road (northbound) from its junction with Kwai Hong Street to a point about 37 metres south of the same junction;
• The left lane of Kwai Hong Street (westbound) from its junction with Container Port Road to a point about 31 metres west of the same junction; and
• The rightmost lane of Kwai Tai Road (westbound) from a point about 8 metres east of its junction with Container Port Road to a point about 38 metres east of the same junction.

(II) Lane Conversion

• The right lane of Container Port Road (southbound) from its junction with Kwai Hong Street to a point about 37 metres south of the same junction will be converted from southbound traffic to northbound traffic.

(III) Relocation of GMB Stop

• The stop of GMB Route Nos. 87A (Container Port Road Public Transport Interchange bound) and 87M (Kwai Fong Station bound) on Container Port Road (northbound) near Cargo Consolidation Complex will be temporarily relocated about 52 meters northward.

Motorists could use the remaining lanes of the above road sections. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
