Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements for Tin Hau Festival 2025 in Yuen Long

        Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Yuen Long to facilitate the procession in celebration of Tin Hau Festival 2025 on 20 April 2025 (Sunday):

        The following sections of roads in vicinity of Tung Tau Industrial Area and Long Ping Station will be intermittently closed to all vehicular traffic from
the time specified below until completion of the procession on 20 April 2025. The actual implementation time of road closure may be advanced if necessary.

(I)

From 8.00 a.m. onwards

(1)

Hong Yip Street between Wang Yip Street East and Po Yip Street;

(2)

Southbound carriageway of Po Yip Street between Hong Yip Street and Yuen Long On Lok Road;

(3)

Yuen Long On Lok Road between Po Yip Street and Wang Chau Road;

(4)

Wang Chau Road;

(5)

Tung Lok Street between Yuen Long On Ning Road and Fook Tak Street;

(6)

Tai Kiu Road;

(7)

Sau Fu Street;

(8)

Kik Yeung Road;

(9)

Yuen Long On Ning Road between Wang Chau Road and Ma Miu Road;

(10)

Ma Miu Road; and

(11)

Wang Tat Road between Shui Pin Wai Interchange and Fung Chi Road (except franchise buses).

        The following sections of roads in Yuen Long Town Centre will be intermittently closed to all vehicular traffic from the time specified below until completion of the procession on 20 April 2025. The actual implementation time of road closure may be advanced if necessary

Fung Cheung Road between Kin Lok Street and Fung Kam Street;

Kin Lok Street westbound;

(4)

Kin Yip Street;

(5)

Hop Yick Road;

(6)

(7)

Kin Tak Street; and

Tai Tong Road between Shung Ching San Tsuen and Hop Yick Road.

(IV)

From 9.00 a.m. onwards

(1)

Tai Tong Road between Fau Tsoi Street and Ma Tong Road;

(2)

Kau Yuk Road between Tai Tong Road and Fung Nin Road;

(3)

Ma Tin Road between Kau Yuk Road and Ma Tong Road;

(4)

Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road between Kau Yuk Road and Ma Tin Road;

(5)

Yuen Long On Hing Street;

(6)

On Leung Lane;

(7)

On Hong Road ;

(8)

On Chun Lane;

(9)

The section of Ma Tong Road and Ma Tin Road between Sai Yu Street and Yuen Long Tak Yuk Road; and

(10)

Tai Shu Ha Road East between Ma Tong Road and Tai Shu Ha Tin Hau Temple.

        The cycling tracks on Wang Tat Road between Chun Hing San Tsuen and Fung Chi Road will be intermittently closed from 7.45 a.m. onwards until completion of the procession on 20 April 2025. The actual implementation time of cycling track closure may be advanced if necessary.

        The following traffic diversion will be implemented from the time specified below. The actual implementation time may be advanced if necessary.

(I)

Tai Shu Ha Road East between Ma Tong Road and Tai Shu Ha Tin Hau Temple will be converted from two-way to one-way southbound
traffic between 6.00 p.m. on 19 April 2025 and 6.00 p.m. on 20 April 2025; and

(II)

Kin Yip Street between the entrance / exit of the car park of Fung Ting Court and its junction with Kin Lok Street, will be converted
from one-way southbound to one-way northbound traffic from 8.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession.

(I)

Temporary Adjustments of Bus Services

The following temporary adjustments of bus services will be implemented from the time period specified in below:

(1)

Temporary service adjustment of KMB bus route no. 68A (Yuen Long (Long Ping Estate) – Tsing Yi Station) will be
implemented from 7.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i)

On journeys to Long Ping: it will be re-routed to operate via Yuen Long On Lok Road before resuming its normal routeing.

(ii)

On journeys to Tsing Yi: it will be re-routed to operate via Ma Wang Road before resuming its normal routeing.

(iii)

The following bus stops will be temporarily suspended:

(a)

Yuen Long On Ning Road The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong stop (Tsing Yi bound);

(b)

Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan near Shui Pin Tsuen stop and Yuen Long Park stop (Tsing Yi bound); and

(c)

Wang Tat Road Yuet Ping House stop (Long Ping bound).

(iv)

The temporary bus stop will be provided on Ma Wang Road outside Shan Shui House, Shui Pin Wai Estate on journeys to Tsing Yi.

(2)

Temporary service adjustment of KMB bus route no. 68E (Yuen Long Park – Tsing Yi Station) will be implemented from 8.00 a.m.
on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i)

On journeys to Yuen Long Park: it will be re-routed to operate via Pok Oi Interchange, Shap Pat Heung Interchange and
Shap Pat Heung Road before resuming its normal routeing.

(ii)

On journeys to Tsing Yi: it will be re-routed to operate via Shap Pat Heung Interchange, Pok Oi Interchange,
Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long and Long Yat Road before resuming its normal routeing.

(iii)

The following bus stops will be temporarily suspended:

(a)

Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long YOHO Mall I stop (Yuen Long Park bound) and YOHO Mix stop (Yuen Long Park bound);

(b)

Fung Cheung Road Fung Ting Court stop (Tsing Yi bound) and Hop Yick Road stop (Yuen Long Park bound); and

(c)

Fung Ki Road Residence 88 stop (both bounds).

(3)

Temporary service adjustment of KMB bus route no. 68F (Park YOHO – Yuen Long Park (Circular)) will be implemented
from 8.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i)

On journeys to Yuen Long Park: it will be re-routed to operate via Pok Oi Interchange, Shap Pat Heung Interchange,
and Shap Pat Heung Road before resuming its normal routeing.

(ii)

On journeys to Park YOHO: it will be re-routed to operate via Shap Pat Heung Interchange, Pok Oi Interchange,
Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long and Long Yat Road before resuming its normal routeing.

(iii)

The following bus stops will be temporarily suspended:

(a)

Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long YOHO Mall I stop (Yuen Long Park bound) and YOHO Mix stop (Yuen Long Park bound);

(b)

Fung Cheung Road Fung Ting Court stop (Park YOHO bound) and Hop Yick Road stop (Yuen Long Park bound); and

(c)

Fung Ki Road Residence 88 stop (both bounds).

(4)

Temporary service adjustment of KMB bus route no. 69 (Tin Shui Wai Town Centre – Yuen Long (Tak Yip Street))
will be implemented from 8.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i)

On journeys to Yuen Long: it will be re-routed to operate via Ma Wang Road, Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan,
Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long and Yuen Long On Lok Road before resuming its normal routeing.

(ii)

On journeys to Tin Shui Wai: it will be re-routed to operate via Wang Yip Street West, Fu Yip Street,
Wang Lok Street, Long Yip Street, Long Yat Road, Long Lok Road, Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long, Long Tin Road,
Tong Yan San Tsuen Interchange, Long Tin Raod, Shui Pin Wai Interchange and Wang Tat Road before resuming
its normal routeing.

(iii)

The following bus stops will be temporarily suspended:

(a)

Yuen Long On Ning Road The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong stop (both bounds);

(b)

Wang Tat Road Yuet Ping House (Yuen Long bound);

(c)

Po Yip Street One Regent Place stop (Tin Shui Wai bound);

(d)

Yuen Long On Lok Road Tai Kiu Tsuen stop (Tin Shui Wai bound);

(e)

Ma Wang Road Ping Cheong Path (Tin Shui Wai bound);

(f)

Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long Yuen Long Plaza (Tin Shui Wai bound); and

(g)

Ma Miu Road Shui Pin Wai Tsuen Hong Shui House (Tin Shui Wai bound).

(iv)

The following temporary bus stops will be provided :

(a)

On journeys to Tin Shui Wai:

  • Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long near Yau San Street
  • Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long near Tai Tong Road
  • Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long near Hong Lok Road
  • Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long near Yuen Long Police Station

Temporary service adjustment of KMB bus route no. 76K (Sheung Shui (Ching Ho) – Long Ping Estate) will be
implemented from 7.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i)

On journeys to Long Ping: it will be re-routed to operate via Long Tin Road, Tong Yan San Tsuen Interchange,
Long Tin Road, Shui Pin Wai Interchange and Wang Tat Road before resuming its normal routeing.

(ii)

On journeys to Sheung Shui: it will be re-routed to operate via Ma Wang Road, Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan,
and Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long before resuming its normal routeing.

(iii)

The following bus stops will be temporarily suspended :

(a)

Ma Miu Road Shui Pin Wai Tsuen Hong Shui House stop (Long Ping bound); and

(b)

Yuen Long On Ning Road The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong stop (Sheung Shui bound).

(iv)

The following temporary bus stop will be provided on Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan near Shui Pin Wai Estate
on journeys to Sheung Shui.

(6)

Temporary service adjustment of KMB bus route no. 77K (Sheung Shui – Yuen Long (Fung Cheung Road)) will be
implemented from 6.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i)

The Yuen Long (Fung Cheung Road) bus terminus will be temporarily relocated to Yuen Long Statin (North)
Public Transport Interchange.

(ii)

On journeys to Yuen Long: it will be re-routed to operate via Long Yat Road before resuming its routeing to
Yuen Long Station (North) Public Transport Interchange.

(iii)

On journeys to Sheung Shui: it will be re-routed to operate via Long Yat Road before resuming its normal routeing.

(iv)

The existing YOHO Mall II bus stop on Long Yat Road (Sheung Shui bound) will temporarily be suspended.

(7)

Temporary service adjustment of KMB bus route no. 251C (Kong Ha Wai – Yuen Long (Circular)) will be implemented
from 7.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i)

On journeys to Yuen Long town: it will be re-routed to operate via On Tat Square and Kik Yeung Road before
resuming its normal routeing.

(ii)

The following bus stops will be temporarily suspended:

(a)

Yuen Long On Ning Road The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong stop; and

(b)

Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long Yuen Long Plaza stop.

(iii)

The following temporary bus stop will be provided on Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long near Hi Lee Path (eastbound).

(8)

Temporary service adjustment of KMB bus route no. 264R (Tin Yiu – Tai Po Market Station) will be implemented
from 9.45 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i)

On journeys to Tai Po: it will be re-routed to operate via Ma Wang Road before resuming its normal routeing.

(ii)

The existing bus stop on Yuen Long On Ning Road The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong (Tai Po bound)
will be temporarily suspended.

(iii)

The following temporary bus stop will be provided on Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan near Shui Pin Wai Estate
on journeys to Tai Po.

(9)

Temporary service adjustment of KMB bus route no. 276 (Tin Tsz – Sheung Shui) will be implemented from 8.00 a.m.
on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i)

On journeys to Sheung Shui: it will be re-routed to operate via Ma Wang Road and Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan
before resuming its normal routeing.

(ii)

The existing bus stop of The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong on Yuen Long On Ning Road (Sheung Shui bound)
will be temporarily suspended.

(iii)

The following temporary bus stop will be provided on Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan near Shui Pin Wai Estate
on journeys to Sheung Shui.

(10)

Temporary service adjustment of KMB bus route no. B9A (Yuen Long (West) – Heung Yuen Wai Control Point (Liantang))
will be implemented from 9.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i)

On journeys to Heung Yuen Wai Control Point (Liantang): it will be re-routed to operate via Kik Yeung Road before
resuming its normal routeing.

(ii)

The existing bus stop of The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong on Yuen Long On Ning Road and
Yuen Long Plaza (Heung Yuen Wai Control Point (Liantang) bound) will be temporarily suspended.

(11)

Temporary service adjustment of MTR bus route no. K66 (Long Ping – Tai Tong Wong Nai Tun Tsuen) will be
implemented from 9.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i)

On journeys to Long Ping: it will be re-routed to operate via Shap Pat Heung Road, Shap Pat Heung Interchange,
Yuen Long Highway slip road, Pok Oi Interchange, Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long and Yuen Long On Lok Road before
resuming its normal routeing.

(ii)

On journeys to Tai Tong: it will be re-routed to operate via Ma Wang Road, Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long,
Long Yat Road, Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long, Pok Oi Interchange, Yuen Long Highway slip road,
Shap Pat Heung Interchange and Shap Pat Heung Road before resuming its normal routeing.

(iii)

The existing bus stops on Tai Tong Road (north of Shap Pat Heung Road), Kau Yuk Road, Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road,
Ma Miu Road, Yuen Long On Ning Road and Wang Tat Road will be temporarily suspended.

(iv)

The following temporary bus stops will be provided :

(a)

On journeys to Long Ping:

  • Shap Pat Heung Road, opposite to Sereno Verde;
  • Yuen Long On Lok Road near Far East Consortium Yuen Long Building; and
  • Yuen Long On Lok Road near MTR Long Ping Station Exit E.

(b)

On journeys to Tai Tong:

  • Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long outside Yuen Long Plaza;
  • Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long outside Yuen Long Landmark; and
  • Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long near Kuk Ting Street.

(12)

 MTR bus route no. K68 (Yuen Long Industrial Estate – Yuen Long Park (Circular)) will be truncated to operate between
Yuen Long Industrial Estate and Yuen Long West (Yuen Long Plaza) and diverted to operate via Ma Wang Road,
Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long and Yuen Long On Lok Road before resuming its routeing to
Yuen Long Industrial Estate from 10.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession.
The existing bus stops on Yuen Long On Ning Road, Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road, Shap Pat Heung Road, Town Park Road North,
Town Park Road South and Ma Tin Road will be temporarily suspended.

(13)

Temporary service adjustment of MTR bus route no. K73 (Tin Heng – Yuen Long West) will be implemented
from 8.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i) On journeys to Yuen Long West: it will be re-routed to operate via Ma Wang Road and
Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long before resuming its normal routeing.

(ii) On journeys to Tin Heng: it will be re-routed to operate via Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long and Yuen Long On Lok Road before resuming its normal routeing.

(iii) The existing bus stop on Yuen Long Home for the Aged Blind and Yuen Long On Ning Road will be temporarily suspended.

(14)

MTR bus route no. K74 (Tin Shui Wai Town Centre – Au Tau (Circular)) will be diverted to operate
via Ma Wang Road and Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long, before resuming its normal routeing to Tin Shui Wai Town Centre
from 8.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession. The existing stops on Yuen Long Home for the Aged Blind
will be temporarily suspended.

(15)

Temporary service adjustment of LWB bus route no. A36 (Airport (Ground Transportation Centre) – Kam Sheung Road Station)
will be implemented from 7.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i)

On journeys to Kam Sheung Road: it will be re-routed to operate via Ma Wang Road before resuming its normal routeing.

(ii)

The existing bus stop on the Yuen Long On Ning Road Family Planning Association of HK (Kam Sheung Road bound) will be suspended.

(iii)

Temporary bus stop will be provided on Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan near Shui Pin Wai Tsuen (Kam Sheung Road bound).

(16)

Temporary service adjustment of LWB bus route no. E36A (Yuen Long (Tak Yip Street) – Tung Chung (Yat Tung Estate))
will be implemented from 8.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession as follows:

(i)

On journeys to Tung Chung: it will be re-routed to operate via Wang Yip Street West, Fu Yip Street, Wang Lok Street,
and Long Yip Street before resuming its normal routeing.

(ii)

The existing bus stops on Po Yip Street One Regent Place (Tung Chung bound) will be temporarily suspended.

(II)

Temporary Adjustments of Green Minibus (GMB) Services

The temporary adjustments of the following GMB routes will be implemented during the periods specified below:

(1)

From 4.00 p.m. on 19 April 2025 until completion of the procession

(i)

GMB routes no. 39, 39A, 601, 601C, 602, 602C, 603, 604 and 606S will be diverted to operate via Fung Cheung Road
and Fung Yau Street North for both bounds;

(ii)

GMB route no. 608 will be re-routed by omitting Fung Cheung Road GMB Terminus on its journeys to Wang Toi Shan bound; and

(iii)

GMB route no. 623 will be diverted to operate via Fung Cheung Road, Fung Kam Road and Fung Yau Street North
on its journeys to Fung Cheung Road bound.

(2)

From 6.00 p.m. on 19 April 2025 to 10.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025

GMB route no. 73 will be re-routed to operate via Tai Shu Ha Road West on its journeys to Long Ping Station bound.

(3)

From 8.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession

(i)

GMB route no. 611B will be re-routed to operate via Hong Yip Street and Yuen Long Kau Hui Road on its journeys
to Yuen Long Station bound.

(ii)

GMB route no. 611P will be re-routed to operate via Yuen Long Kau Hui Road, Long Yat Road, Long Lok Road,
Castle Peak Road-Yuen Long, Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road, Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road Carpark, Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road,
Castle Peak Road-Yuen Long near Yuen Long Plaza on its journeys to Yuen Long town bound; re-routed to operate
via Castle Peak Road-Yuen Long near Yuen Long Plaza, Long Yat Road and Yuen Long Kau Hui Road on its journeys
to Shan Pui Tsuen bound.

(4)

From 10.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession

(i)

GMB routes no. 39 and 39A will be re-routed to operate via Kung Um Road, Shap Pat Heung Road eastbound,
Fung Ki Road, Fung Cheung Road, Fung Kam Street and Fung Yau Street North for both bounds;

(ii)

GMB route no. 604 will be re-routed to operate via Town Park Road South, Lam Hau Tsuen Road, Shap Pat Heung Road,
Fung Ki Road, Fung Cheung Road, Fung Kam Street and Fung Yau Street North for both bounds; and

(iii)

GMB route no. 73 will be temporarily suspended.

(III)

Temporary Suspension and Relocation of GMB Terminus

The terminus of GMB routes no. 39, 601, 601C, 602, 602C, 603, 604, 606S and 623 on Fung Cheung Road will be suspended and
relocated to Fung Yau Street North from 4.00 p.m. on 19 April 2025 until completion of the procession.

(IV)

Temporary Suspension of Public Light Bus Stand

The public light bus stand at Hung Min Court will be suspended and relocated to Tai Tong Road (northbound) near
Sinopec station from 8.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession.

(V)

Temporary Suspension of Taxi Stand

The taxi stand at Kin Tak Street will be temporarily suspended from 8.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession.

        The following parking spaces will be temporarily suspended during the periods specified below:

(I)

From 4.00 p.m. on 19 April 2025 until completion of the procession

(1)

The goods vehicles parking spaces inside the car park of Fung Yau Street North.

(II)

From 8.00 a.m. on 20 April 2025 until completion of the procession

(1)

All the parking spaces of the car park of Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road outside Yuen Long Stadium;

(2)

All the parking spaces of the car park of Town Park Road North outside Yuen Long Stadium;

(3)

Ma Tin Road;

(4)

Wang Fat Path;

(5)

Kin Tak Street;

(6)

Yan Lok Square;

(7)

Hung Min Court;

(8)

On Leung Lane;

(9)

On Hong Road ; and

(10)

On Chun Lane.

(F) Attention and Appeal

        The public transport operators will display notices at the stops and inside vehicle compartments to advise passengers of the above
temporary arrangements. Actual implementation of and adjustments to road closures, suspension of GMB termini, parking spaces,
public light bus and taxi stands, traffic control and public transport services diversions will be made by the Police at the time
depending on the prevailing circumstances, traffic and crowd conditions in the areas.Members of the public should pay attention to the
route diversions and suspension of stops.

        Appropriate temporary traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists are advised not to drive to the affected areas,
and to drive with utmost care and patience and take heed of the instruction given by the Police on site.
