TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE
Temporary Traffic Arrangements on Stewart Road, Wan Chai
Notice is hereby given that to facilitate road works, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented on Stewart Road during the time specified below:
From 11.00 pm to 6.00 am the following day on 8 May 2025
A. Road Closure
The following road sections will be temporary closed to all vehicular traffic:
i. the section of Stewart Road northbound between Jaffe Road and Lockhart Road;
ii. part of the traffic lanes of Jaffe Road near Stewart Road; and
iii. part of the traffic lanes of Lockhart Road eastbound near Stewart Road.
B. Turning Movement Arrangement
All vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from turning left from Lockhart Road onto Stewart Road northbound.
C. Traffic Diversion
Affected vehicles on Lockhart Road eastbound heading to Jaffe Road will be diverted via Tonnochy Road northbound, Gloucester Road westbound and Stewart Road southbound.
From 11.00 pm to 6.00 am the following day on 12 May 2025
A. Road Closure
The following road sections will be temporary closed to all vehicular traffic:
i. the section of Stewart Road between Gloucester Road and Jaffe Road; and
ii. part of the traffic lanes of Jaffe Road near Stewart Road.
B. Turning Movement Arrangement
i. All vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from turning left from Gloucester Road westbound onto Stewart Road southbound; and
ii. All vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from turning left from Jaffe Road onto Stewart Road northbound.
C. Traffic Diversion
i. Affected vehicles on Jaffe Road and Stewart Road northbound heading to Gloucester Road westbound will be diverted via Tonnochy Road northbound; and
ii. Affected vehicles on Gloucester Road westbound heading to Stewart Road southbound will be diverted via Fleming Road southbound and Jaffe Road.
D. Suspension of Metered Parking Spaces
All metered parking spaces on Stewart Road between Gloucester Road and Jaffe Road will be temporarily suspended.
From 11.00 pm to 6.00 am the following day on 15 May 2025
A. Road Closure
The following traffic lanes will be temporary closed to all vehicular traffic:
i. part of the traffic lanes of Lockhart Road near Stewart Road; and
ii. part of the traffic lanes of Stewart Road southbound near Lockhart Road.
B. Turning Movement Arrangement
All vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from turning right from Lockhart Road eastbound onto Stewart Road southbound.
C. Traffic Diversion
Affected vehicles on Lockhart Road eastbound heading to Stewart Road southbound will be diverted via Tonnochy Road northbound and Gloucester Road eastbound.
From 11.00 pm to 6.00 am the following day on 19 May 2025
A. Road Closure
The following road sections will be temporary closed to all vehicular traffic:
i. the section of Stewart Road between Lockhart Road and Hennessy Road; and
ii. part of the traffic lanes of Lockhart Road near Stewart Road.
B. Turning Movement Arrangement
All vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from turning from Lockhart Road onto Stewart Road southbound.
C. Traffic Diversion
i. Affected vehicles on Lockhart Road eastbound heading to Hennessy Road eastbound will be diverted via Tonnochy Road northbound, Gloucester Road westbound, Stewart Road southbound, Lockhart Road westbound and Fleming Road southbound; and
ii. Affected vehicles on Lockhart Road westbound heading to Hennessy Road eastbound will be diverted via Fleming Road southbound.
Appropriate traffic signs and road markings will be erected on site to guide motorists.
