In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation (14)(1)(a) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct with effect from 11 a.m. on 16 May 2025, the section of Fai King Road near Tak Yuet Lau (Hoo Hok Wai bound) will be designated as a prohibited zone for all motor vehicles exceeding 5.5 tonnes in gross weight 24 hours daily.

Drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from driving vehicles exceeding 5.5 tonnes in gross weight into the above prohibited zone.

The extent of the prohibited zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs.

At the same time, the existing prohibited zone on the above road section will be rescinded.
