ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374G)
Restricted Zones In Tai Po

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 25 July 2025, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

    1. the northern kerbside lane of the eastbound carriageway of Hoi Ying Road from a point about 15 metres east of its junction with the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Hoi Ying Road to a point about 150 metres east of the same junction;
    2. the southern kerbside lane of the westbound carriageway of Hoi Ying Road from a point about 15 metres east of its junction with the roundabout on Sai Sha Road near Hoi Ying Road to a point about 145 metres east of the same junction;
    3. the northern kerbside lane of the eastbound carriageway of Hoi Ying Road from a point about 35 metres east of its junction with the unnamed access road leading to Tai Tung to a point about 120 metres east of the same junction;
    4. the southern kerbside lane of the westbound carriageway of Hoi Ying Road from a point about 35 metres east of its junction with the unnamed access road leading to Tai Tung to a point about 125 metres east of the same junction;
    5. the lay-by on the northern kerbside lane of the eastbound carriageway of Hoi Ying Road outside GO PARK Sai Sha;
    6. the eastern kerbside lane of the access road leading to House No. 19 Hoi Ying Road from its junction with Hoi Ying Road to a point about 5 metres north of the same junction;
    7. the section of the access road leading to House No. 19 Hoi Ying Road from its junction with Hoi Ying Road to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction; and
    8. the southern kerbside lane of the westbound carriageway of Hoi Ying Road from a point about 55 metres east of its junction with the roundabout on Hoi Ying Road near Tseng Tau to a point about 105 metres east of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

    1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
