ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
Restricted Zones on Kai Tin Road, Lam Tin


        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 15 August 2025, the western kerbside lane of Kai Tin Road from a point about 50 metres south of its junction with Tak Tin Street to a point about 65 metres south of the same junction will be designated as a restricted zone
24 hours daily.

        Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from: -

           (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

           (b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the following road sections will be rescinded:

    1. The western kerbside lane of Kai Tin Road from a point about 60 metres south of its junction with Tak Tin Street to a point about 65 metres south of the same junction; and

    2. The eastern kerbside lane of Kai Tin Road from a point about 95 metres south of its junction with Tak Tin Street to a point about 100 metres south of the same junction.
