In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 9 a.m. on 17 August 2025, the following road sections will be temporarily designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

I. Ying Tung Road

• the northern kerbside lane of Ying Tung Road from its junction with Kam Tung Street to a point about 45 metres west of the same junction;
• the southern kerbside lane of Ying Tung Road about 20 meters west from its junction with Kam Tung Street to a point about 45 metres west of the same junction;

II. Kam Tung Street

• the western kerbside lane of Kam Tung Street from its junction with Ying Tung Road to a point about 150 metres south of the same junction;
• the eastern kerbside lane of Kam Tung Street from its junction with Ying Tung Road to a point about 150 metres south of the same junction;
• the western kerbside lane of Kam Tung Street from its junction with Ying Tung Road to a point about 320 metres north of the same junction;
• the eastern kerbside lane of Kam Tung Street from its junction with Ying Tung Road to a point about 320 metres north of the same junction;

III. Wui Tung Street

• the northern kerbside lane of Wui Tung Street from its junction with Yi Tung Road to a point about 730 metres east of the same junction;
• the southern kerbside lane of Wui Tung Street from its junction with Yi Tung Road to a point about 730 metres east of the same junction;

          Within the above restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

• picking up or setting down passengers; or
• loading or unloading goods.

• the southern kerbside lane of Ying Tung Road from its junction with Kam Tung Street to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction

          Within the above restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except goods vehicle and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

• picking up or setting down passengers; or
• loading or unloading goods.

          The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

          At the same time, the temporary restricted zones as gazetted under G.N. 4254 on 11 July 2025 will be rescinded.
