ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN CENTRAL DISTRICT

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 12 September 2025, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily: –

    1. The section of the unnamed road leading from Shun Tak Centre to Rumsey Street Car Park from its junction with the entrance of Rumsey Street Car Park to a point about 30 metres west of the same junction;
    2. The section of the unnamed road leading from Shun Tak Centre to Rumsey Street Car Park from a point about 75 metres west of its junction with the entrance of Rumsey Street Car Park to a point about 105 metres west of the same junction;
    3. The western kerbside lane of the western section of Rumsey Street from its junction with the northern section of Rumsey Street to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction;
    4. The southern kerbside lane of Connaught Road Central westbound service road from its junction with Man Wa Lane to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;
    5. The western kerbside lane of Man Wa Lane from its junction with Connaught Road Central westbound service road to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction;
    6. The western kerbside lane of Cotton Tree Drive northbound from a point about 20 metres north of its junction with Murray Road to a point about 60 metres north of the same junction;
    7. The southern kerbside lane of the slip road leading from Cotton Tree Drive northbound to Murray Road;
    8. The eastern kerbside lane of the slip road leading from Cotton Tree Drive northbound to Murray Road from a point about 50 metres north of its junction with Murray Road to a point about 60 metres north of the same junction;
    9. The northern kerbside lane of Queen's Road Central from its junction with Des Voeux Road Central to a point about 120 metres west of the same junction;
    10. The southern kerbside lane of Des Voeux Road Central from its junction with Queen's Road Central to a point about 95 metres west of the same junction; and
    11. Bank Street.

        Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from: –

    1. Picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. Loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
