ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN CENTRAL DISTRICT
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 19 September 2025, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily: –

- The western kerbside lane of Tim Mei Avenue;
- The western kerbside lane of Legislative Council Road;
- The southern kerbside lane of Lung Wo Road between Tim Wa Avenue and Legislative Council Road;
- The eastern kerbside lane of Tim Wa Avenue;
- The northern kerbside lane of Harcourt Road between Tim Wa Avenue and Tim Mei Avenue;
- The eastern kerbside lane of Stanley Street from its junction with Cochrane Street to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;
- The eastern kerbside lane of Stanley Street from a point about 5 metres north of its junction with D'Aguilar Street to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction;
- The northern kerbside lane of Lower Albert Road from its junction with Wyndham Street to a point about 25 metres east of the same junction;
- The eastern kerbside lane of Wyndham Street between Lower Albert Road and Queen's Road Central;
- The southern kerbside lane of Queen's Road Central from its junction with Wyndham Street to a point about 95 metres east of the same junction;
- The section of On Lan Street from its junction with Wyndham Street to a point about 5 metres east of the same junction;
- The section of On Lan Street from its junction with Zetland Street to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction; and
- The section of Zetland Street from its junction with On Lan Street to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction.
Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from: –

- Picking up or setting down passengers; or
- Loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
