ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374)
SPEED LIMITS AT ABERDEEN TUNNEL

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under sections 40(2)(b) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 12 September 2025, the following road sections will be subject at different times to the speed limits of 70 kilometres per hour or 50 kilometres per hour:

1.  Aberdeen Tunnel northbound tunnel tube;
2. Aberdeen Tunnel southbound tunnel tube;
3. The northbound section of Aberdeen Tunnel from its junction with the entrance of Aberdeen Tunnel northbound tunnel tube to a point about 50 metres south of the same junction; and
4. The southbound section of Aberdeen Tunnel from its junction with the exit of Aberdeen Tunnel southbound tunnel tube to a point about 60 metres south of the same junction.

        Any change in the speed limit in accordance with this notice may be put into effect from time to time by traffic signs to be erected, replaced, removed or altered so as to ensure that adequate guidance is given to drivers of motors vehicles as to the speed limits currently to be observed on the roads.

        At the same time, all speed limits as gazetted under G.N. 5233 dated 21 August 2009 and G.N. 1581 dated 19 March 2010 will be rescinded.
