Road Traffic Ordinance (Chapter 374)
Temporary Speed Limit on North Lantau Highway

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. daily during the period from 19 September to 31 December 2025, the following road sections of North Lantau Highway will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour:

1. The section of North Lantau Highway eastbound from a point about 1400 metres east of its junction with Shun Long Road northbound to a point about 5300 metres east of the same junction; and
2. the section of North Lantau Highway westbound from a point about 3300 metres west of its junction with Penny's Bay Highway southbound to a point about 4000 metres west of the same junction.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

        At the same time, the existing speed limit on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
