In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that on 24 October, 31 October, 5 November, 7 November, 12 November, 14 November, 19 November, 26 November, 3 December, 5 December and 10 December 2025, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to the temporary speed limits below:

1. The section of Fanling Highway (westbound) from a point about 200 meters east of its junction with Tai Tau Leng roundabout to a point about 1100 meters west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour from 12 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily;
2. The section of Fanling Highway (westbound) from a point about 250 meters east of its junction with Tai Tau Leng roundabout to a point about 1900 meters west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour from 1 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. daily.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

At the same time, the existing speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour on the above road section will be temporarily rescinded.
