ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
PROHIBITED ZONES FOR VEHICLES EXCEEDING 3 TONNES IN GROSS WEIGHT ON HONG KONG ISLAND

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 24 October 2025, the following road sections will be designated as prohibited zones for all motor vehicles exceeding 3 tonnes in gross weight 24 hours daily:

    1. The section of Aberdeen Street between Caine Road and Staunton Street;
    2. The section of Magazine Gap Road between May Road and Peak Road;
    3. Mount Austin Road;
    4. The slip road leading from Robinson Road eastbound to Albany Road northbound;
    5. The section of Albany Road northbound between Robinson Road and Upper Albert Road;
    6. Mount Davis Path;
    7. The unnamed road between Wilson Road and Mount Butler Road;
    8. The access road connecting Aberdeen Main Road and The Warehouse Teenage Club;
    9. The section of Tai Tam Reservoir Road east of the access road connecting Tai Tam Reservoir Road and Tai Tam Scout Centre.
    10. Shouson Hill Road East eastbound leading from Shouson Hill Road to Shouson Hill Road East;
    11. Shouson Hill Road West northbound leading from Shouson Hill Road to Shouson Hill Road West;
    12. The section of Deep Water Bay Road between Deep Water Bay Drive and Island Road; and
    13. The section of the unnamed road between lamp post nos. 39552 and 39554.

        Drivers of motor vehicles, except taxis, private cars and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from driving vehicles exceeding 3 tonnes in gross weight into the above prohibited zones.

        The extent of the prohibited zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs.

        At the same time, the existing prohibited zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
