Temporary Traffic Arrangements at Ma On Shan Road (Northbound)

        To facilitate road works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 1.00am to 6.00am on 25 October 2025 and 28 October 2025:

(i)    Road Closure
Motorists are advised that in order to facilitate road works, the following sections of road will be closed to all vehicular traffic during the above period.
- The fast lane of Ma On Shan Road (northbound) from a point about 170 metres south of its junction with Tate's Cairn Highway (northbound) to a point about 400 metres north of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all traffic;
- The fast lane and middle lane of Ma On Shan Road (northbound) from a point about 400 metres north of its junction with Tate's Cairn Highway (northbound) to a point about 700 metres north of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all traffic;
- The slow lane and fast lane of Ma On Shan Road (northbound) from a point about 700 metres north of its junction with Tate's Cairn Highway (northbound) to a point about 780 metres north of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all traffic;
- The slow lane and middle lane of Ma On Shan Road (northbound) from a point about 780 metres north of its junction with Tate's Cairn Highway (northbound) to a point about 1300 metres north of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all traffic; and
- The slip road of Hang Tai Road connecting Ma On Shan Road (northbound) from its junction with Hang Tai Road (northbound) to a point about 250m north of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all traffic.


(ii)        Traffic Diversion

      1. Affected vehicles on Hang Tai Road (northbound) heading for Ma On Shan Road (northbound) and Hang Hong Street roundabout will be diverted via Hang Tai Road (northbound), Hang Fai Street (westbound), Sai Sha Road (northbound) and Hang Hong Street (eastbound); and
      2. Affected vehicles on Hang Tai Road (northbound) heading for Ma On Shan Road (northbound) and Ma On Shan Bypass (northbound) will be diverted via Hang Tai Road (northbound), Hang Fai Street (westbound) and Sai Sha Road (northbound) to Wu Kai Sha and Sai Kung.
(iii)        Public Transport Arrangements

      1. The Overnight Cross Harbour Route Nos. N281 (Kam Ying Court Bound) and N680 (Kam Ying Court Bound); and New Territories GMB Route 805S (Kam Ying Court Bound) will be diverted via Hang Tai Road (northbound), Hang Fai Street (westbound), Sai Sha Road (northbound), Hang Hong Street (eastbound) and Hang Hong Street (westbound) before resuming its normal routing.
        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to drive with care and patience. Notices will be displayed by the public transport services operators to inform the passengers of the temporary arrangements.
