ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
Restricted Zones in Kwai Chung

In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 7 November 2025, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

  1. the northern kerbside lane of Kwai Tai Road from its junction with Kwai Tsing Road to a point about 55 metres west of the same junction;
  2. the northern kerbside lane of Kwai Tsing Road from its junction with Kwai Tai Road to its junction with Tsuen Wan Road;
  3. the western kerbside lane of Tsuen Wan Road from its junction with Kwai Tsing Road to its junction about 156 metres north of the same junction;
  4. the northern kerbside lane of Kwai Shun Street from its junction with Container Port Road to a point about 18 metres west of the same junction;
  5. the western kerbside lane of Container Port Road from its junction with Kwai Shun Street to its southern junction with Kwai Fung Crescent;
  6. the southern kerbside lane of Kwai Fung Crescent from its southern junction with Container Port Road to a point about 12 metres west of the same junction;
  7. the southern kerbside lane of Kwai Shun Street from its junction with Container Port Road to a point about 42 metres west of the same junction;
  8. the western kerbside lane of Container Port Road from its junction with Kwai Shun Street to a point about 35 metres south of the same junction;
  9. the western kerbside lane of Container Port Road from a point about 45 metres south of its junction with Kwai Shun Street to its junction with Kwai Hong Street;
  10. the northern kerbside lane of Kwai Hong Street from its junction with Container Port Road to a point about 14 metres west of the same junction;
  11. the southern kerbside lane of Kwai Fung Crescent from its northern junction with Container Port Road to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;
  12. the western kerbside lane of Container Port Road from its northern junction with Kwai Fung Crescent to its southern junction with Kwai Fung Crescent;
  13. the northern kerbside lane of Kwai Fung Crescent from its southern junction with Container Port Road to a point about 27 metres west of the same junction;
  14. the northern kerbside lane of Kwai Fung Crescent from its northern junction with Container Port Road to a point about 24 metres west of the same junction;
  15. the western kerbside lane of Container Port Road from its northern junction with Kwai Fung Crescent to its junction with Kwai Fuk Road;
  16. the western kerbside lane of Kwai Fuk Road from its junction with Container Port Road to a point about 19 metres north of the same junction;
  17. the northern kerbside lane of Container Port Road from its junction with Container Port Road South to a point about 22 metres west of the same junction;
  18. the western kerbside lane of Container Port Road South from its junction with Container Port Road to its junction with Kwai Tai Road;
  19. the southern kerbside lane of Kwai Tai Road from its junction with Container Port Road South to a point about 263 metres west of the same junction;
  20. the southern kerbside lane of Kwai King Road from its junction with the slip road connecting Kwai Tai Road to Kwai King Road to a point about 83 metres west of the same junction;
  21. the southern kerbside lane of Kwai Tsing Road from its junction with Kwai King Road to a point about 103 metres west of the same junction;
  22. the northern kerbside lane of Kwai Chung Interchange from its junction with Lai King Hill Road to a point about 74 metres west of the same junction;
  23. the western kerbside lane of Lai King Hill Road from its junction with Kwai Chung Interchange to a point about 29 metres north of the same junction;
  24. the southern kerbside lane of Kwai Chung Interchange from a point about 10 metres west of its junction with Lai King Hill Road to a point about 109 metres west of the same junction;
  25. the western kerbside lane of the slip road connecting Kwai Tai Road to Kwai King Road; and
  26. the eastern kerbside lane of the access road leading to Container Terminal 5 from its junction with Kwai Tai Road to a point about 16 metres south of the same junction.

Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

  1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
  2. loading or unloading goods.

The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
