In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 00.00 a.m. to 05.30 a.m. daily on 3, 8, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24, 28 and 31 January 2026, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour:

1. 1. the section of Tolo Highway (northbound) from a point about 55 meters north of its junction with Tai Po Road – Sha Tin (northbound) to a point about 800 meters north of the same junction; and,
   2. the section of the slip road leading from Sha Tin Racecourse to Tolo Highway (northbound) from a point about 200 meters south of its junction with Tolo Highway (northbound) to a point of the same junction.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

        At the same time, the existing speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
