Traffic Advice
Temporary Traffic Arrangements on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Heights Section), Tai Wai
Motorists are advised that in order to facilitate road works, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented from 9 pm to 6 am the following day on 7 January and 9 January 2026:
- Lane Closure
The traffic lane on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Heights Section) northbound from its junction with the unnamed road connecting to the entrance of Shell-Shatin Heights Petrol Filling Station to a point about 400 metres north of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.
- Traffic Diversion Conversion
The rightmost lane of Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Heights Section) southbound from a point about 560 metres north of its junction with the unnamed road connecting to the entrance of Shell-Shatin Heights Petrol Filling Station to the same junction will be temporarily allocated for northbound traffic.
- Banning of Turning Movements
(i) All vehicles will be prohibited from turning right from the exit of Shell-Shatin Heights Petrol Filling Station onto Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Heights Section) southbound; and
(ii) All vehicles will be prohibited from turning right from Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Heights Section) southbound onto Shell-Shatin Heights Petrol Filling Station.
- Traffic Diversion
(i) Affected vehicles on the exit of Shell-Shatin Heights Petrol Filling Station heading for Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Heights Section) southbound will be diverted via Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Heights Section) northbound, Lower Shing Mun Road northbound, Lower Shing Mun Road southbound and Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Heights Section) southbound; and
(ii) Affected vehicles on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Heights Section) southbound heading for Shell-Shatin Heights Petrol Filling Station will be diverted via Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Heights Section) southbound, Tai Po Road (Piper's Hill Section) southbound, Caldecott Road, Tai Po Road (Piper's Hill Section) northbound and Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Heights Section) northbound.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
