ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONE ON SHANTUNG STREET, MONG KOK

      In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 9 January 2026, the southern kerbside lane of Shantung Street from its junction with Canton Road to a point about 40 metres west of the same junction (except taxi pick up or drop off) will be designated as a restricted zone from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m., and from 4.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily.

       Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

           (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or

           (b)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road section will be rescinded.
