In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that from 01.00 am to 05.30 am daily from 28 January to 30 January 2026 and from 4 February to 6 February 2026, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to the temporary speed limits below:

1. the section of Fanling Highway (southbound) from a point about 850 meters north of its junction with Kam Tsin Road Footbridge (near Ho Tung School) to a point about 340 meters north of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour; and
2. the section of Fanling Highway (southbound) from a point about 340 meters south of its junction with Kam Tsin Road Footbridge (near Ho Tung School) to a point about 20 meters south of its junction with Kai Leng Bridge (near Ka Shing Court) will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

At the same time, the existing speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour on the above road section will be temporarily rescinded.
