TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE
Temporary Traffic Arrangements at Gage Street, Central

        Notice is hereby given that to facilitate road works, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented at Gage Street from 10.00 pm to 6.00 am of the following day daily on Mondays to Thursdays from 4 to 12 and 23 to 26 February 2026:

A.     Road Closure

The section of Gage Street between Peel Street and Aberdeen Street will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

B.     Banning of Turning Movement

All vehicles exceeding 5.5 tonnes in gross weight will be temporarily prohibited from making right turns from Lyndhurst Terrace onto Gage Street.

C.     Traffic Diversion

1. 1. 1. Affected vehicles on Gage Street heading for Aberdeen Street will be diverted via Peel Street, Hollywood Road, Graham Street and Staunton Street;
      2. Affected vehicles exceeding 5.5 tonnes in gross weight on Lyndhurst Terrace heading for Aberdeen Street will be diverted via Hollywood Road, Wyndham Street, Queen's Road Central, Possession Street and Hollywood Road; and
      3. Affected vehicles under 5.5 tonnes in gross weight on Lyndhurst Terrace heading for Aberdeen Street will be diverted via Graham Street and Staunton Street.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on-site to guide motorists.
