TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE
Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Central

        Notice is hereby given that to facilitate works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Central from 10.00 pm to 6.00 am of the following day daily on 30 January 2026, 2 to 6 February 2026 and from 12.01 am to 6.00 am on 2 February 2026:

A.     Road Closure

The following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:

      1. The section of Chater Road between Des Voeux Road Central and Ice House Street;
      2. The section of left lane of Des Voeux Road Central eastbound near Pedder Street;
      3. The section of the rightmost lane of Pedder Street near Des Voeux Road Central.

B.     Traffic Diversion

Affected vehicles on Des Voeux Road Central eastbound or Pedder Street heading for Chater Road will be diverted via Des Voeux Road Central eastbound and Ice House Street.

D.     Suspension of Taxi Stands

The urban and cross harbour taxi stands on Chater Road outside Alexandra House will be temporarily suspended.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on-site to guide motorists. The bus company will display notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
