Temporary Speed Limit on Fanling Highway, North District
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 12.00 midnight to 5.30 am daily between 12 February to 7 March 2026 (except Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays), the following sections of Fanling Highway will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour:
- Part of the section of Fanling Highway (eastbound) between about 520 meters west of its junction with Pak Shek Au Interchange and about 20 meters east of its junction with Kai Leng Bridge (near Ka Shing Court);
- The section of the slip road leading from Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau to Fanling Highway (eastbound) from its junction with Fanling Highway to a point about 140 meters west of the same junction;
- The section of the slip road leading from Tai Tau Leng roundabout to Fanling Highway (eastbound) from its junction with Fanling Highway to a point about 230 meters west of the same junction;
- The section of the slip road leading from So Kwun Po Road roundabout to Fanling Highway (eastbound) from its junction with Fanling Highway to a point about 110 meters west of the same junction;
- Part of the section of Fanling Highway (westbound) between about 60 meters west of its junction with Pak Wo Road Footbridge (near MTR Fanling Station) and about 80 meters west of its junction with Pak Shek Au Interchange;
- The section of the slip road leading from So Kwun Po Road roundabout to Fanling Highway (westbound) from its junction with Fanling Highway to a point about 170 meters east of the same junction; and
- The section of the slip road leading from Tai Tau Leng roundabout to Fanling Highway (westbound) from its junction with Fanling Highway to a point about 150 meters east of the same junction.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
At the same time, the existing speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
