TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE
Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements at Forbes Street and Smithfield, Western District

        Notice is hereby given that to facilitate water works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented at Forbes Street and Smithfield during the periods specified below:

A.     Lane Closure

1. 1. 1. The section of left lane of Forbes Street near Smithfield will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 2.00 pm to 10.00 am of the following day on Saturdays between 28 February 2026 and 18 April 2026; and
      2. The section of left lane of Smithfield northbound near Forbes Street will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 2.00 pm to 10.00 am of the following day on Saturdays between 28 March 2026 and 18 April 2026.

B.     Relocation of Bus and GMB Stopping Points

The stopping points of CTB Route No. 43M and HKI GMB Route No. 12 at Forbes Street opposite to Luen Fat Apartments will be temporarily relocated to Forbes Street opposite to Luen On Apartments from 2.00 pm to 10.00 am of the following day on Saturdays between 28 February 2026 and 18 April 2026.

C.     Suspension of GMB Stand

The GMB stand at Forbes Street opposite to Luen On Apartments will be temporarily suspended from 2.00 pm to 10.00 am of the following day on Saturdays between 28 February 2026 and 21 March 2026.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on-site to guide motorists. The public transport operators will display notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
