TRAFFIC ADVICE
Temporary Traffic Arrangements on Johnston Road, Wan Chai

        Motorists are advised that, to facilitate the tram track renewal works, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented from 10.00 am on 26 February 2026 to 10.00 am on 13 March 2026:-

(A) Lane Closure
1. Part of the traffic lane of Johnston Road eastbound between Thomson Road and Luard Road will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic; and

2. Part of the traffic lane of Johnston Road westbound between Tai Wong Street East and Lun Fat Street will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

(B) Banning of Turning Movement
All vehicles exceeding 7 metres in length will be banned from making a left turn from Johnston Road westbound to Ship Street southbound.

(C) Traffic Diversion
1. All vehicles from Johnston Road eastbound heading to Ship Street southbound will be diverted via Fleming Road northbound, Thomson Road eastbound and Johnston Road westbound;

2. Vehicles exceeding 7 metres in length from Johnston Road westbound heading to Queen's Road East will be diverted via Anton Street southbound;

3. Vehicles exceeding 7 metres in length and less 5.5 tonnes in weight from Johnston Road westbound heading to Wing Fung Street will be diverted via Anton Street southbound, Queen's Road East eastbound, St. Francis Street southbound, Star Street westbound, Monmouth Path northbound and Queen's Road East eastbound; and

4. Vehicles exceeding 7 metres in length and exceeding 5.5 tonnes in weight from Johnston Road westbound heading to Wing Fung Street will be diverted via Hennessy Road westbound, Queensway westbound, Cotton Tree Drive southbound, Garden Road northbound, Queensway eastbound and Queen's Road East eastbound.

Appropriate traffic signs and road markings will be erected on site to guide motorists.
