ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
PROHIBITED ZONE FOR VEHICLES EXCEEDING 3 TONNES IN GROSS WEIGHT ON TAI TAM ROAD, SOUTHERN DISTRICT
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 7.00 am on 27 February 2026, the section of Tai Tam Road southbound from its junction with Shek O Road to its junction with Tai Tam Reservoir Road will be designated as prohibited zone for all motor vehicles exceeding 3 tonnes in gross weight from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily.
Drivers of motor vehicles, except buses, light buses, taxis, private cars and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from driving vehicles exceeding 3 tonnes in gross weight into the above prohibited zones.
The extent of the prohibited zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs.
At the same time, the existing prohibited zone on the above road section will be rescinded.
