ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374G)
PROHIBITED ZONE FOR VEHICLES EXCEEDING 3 TONNES IN GROSS WEIGHT ON THE SLIP ROAD FROM CASTLE PEAK ROAD – SHAM TSENG TO TUEN MUN ROAD, TSUEN WAN
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation (14)(1)(a) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct with effect from 6:00 a.m. on 27 February 2026, the slip road leading from Castle Peak Road – Sham Tseng to Tuen Mun Road near Sham Tseng Fire Station Cum Ambulance Depot, Tsuen Wan will be designated as a prohibited zone for all motor vehicles exceeding 3 tonnes in gross weight (except buses, taxis, private cars) between 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. daily (except Sundays and Public Holidays).
Drivers of all motor vehicles, except buses, taxis, private cars and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from driving vehicles exceeding 3 tonnes in gross weight into the above prohibited zone.
The extent of the prohibited zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs.
At the same time, the existing prohibited zone on the above road section will be rescinded.
