Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on South Lantau Road, Lantau Island
Members of the public are advised that, to facilitate water main works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on South Lantau Road from 9 a.m. on 11 March 2026 (Wednesday) to 6 p.m. on 30 April 2026 (Thursday).
The section of South Lantau Road westbound from a point about 65 metres east of its junction with Chi Ma Wan Road to a point about 50 metres east of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic. The above road section will be temporarily converted from two-lane two-way traffic into one-lane two-way traffic.
- Temporary bus stop relocation
The bus stop on South Lantau Road eastbound near San Wai Tsuen of NLB route nos. 1, 2, 3M, 4, A35 and N35 (Mui Wo bound) will be temporarily relocated about 40 metres eastward.
Appropriate traffic signs and road markings will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to drive with utmost care and patience. Notices will be displayed by the bus company to inform passengers of the above temporary arrangement for bus stop relocation.
