In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 0.01 a.m. to 6.00 a.m. daily from 21 March 2026 to 2 May 2026, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour:

(i)     The section of Yuen Long Highway northbound from about chainage marker 44.9A to about chainage marker 39.1A;
(ii)    The section of Yuen Long Highway westbound from about chainage marker 40.8B to about chainage marker 44.6B;
(iii)   The section of Yuen Long Highway northbound from a point about 180 metres north of its junction with Pok Oi Interchange, to a point about 770 metres north of the same junction; and
(iv)   The section of Shap Pat Heung Interchange westbound from its junction with Yuen Long Highway westbound, to a point about 50 metres east of the same junction.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.

        At the same time, the existing speed limit on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
