ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN KWU TUNG NORTH
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 7.00 a.m. on 1 May 2026, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:
- The roundabout at the junction of Castle Peak Road - Chau Tau and Kwu Tung North Road;
- Castle Peak Road - Chau Tau westbound from its junction with the roundabout at Kwu Tung North Road to a point about 80 metres west of the same junction;
- Castle Peak Road - Chau Tau westbound from its junction with the roundabout at Kwu Tung North Road to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction;
- Castle Peak Road - Chau Tau eastbound from its junction with the roundabout at Kwu Tung North Road to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction;
- Castle Peak Road - Chau Tau eastbound from its junction with the roundabout at Kwu Tung North Road to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction;
- Kwu Tung North Road northbound from its junction with the roundabout at Castle Peak Road - Chau Tau to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction;
- Kwu Tung North Road northbound from its junction with the roundabout at Castle Peak Road - Chau Tau to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;
- Kwu Tung North Road southbound from its junction with the roundabout at Castle Peak Road - Chau Tau to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction;
- Kwu Tung North Road southbound from its junction with the roundabout at Castle Peak Road - Chau Tau to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;
- Heung Tsz Road eastbound from its junction with Pak Sau Road to a point about 30 metres west of the same junction; and
- Pak Sau Road southbound from its junction with Heung Tsz Road to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
- picking up or setting down passengers; or
- loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones as gazetted in G.N. 1982 of 2026 will be rescinded.
