In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 9.00 am on 30 April 2026, all roads in Ma Wan will be designated as prohibited zones 24 hours daily.

Drivers of all motor vehicles will be prohibited from driving vehicles into the prohibited zones 24 hours daily except:-

1. 1. goods vehicles from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm daily;
   2. urban taxis for access to/from Ma Wan Road, the roundabout between Ma Wan Road and Pak Lam Road, Pak Lam Road south of Fong Yuen Road, Fong Yuen Road and Ma Wan Rural Committee Road 24 hours daily; and to/from Pak Yan Road and the section of Pak Lai Road between Pak Lam Road and Pak Yan Road from 9.00 am to 11.00 pm daily;
   3. buses from 9.00 am to 11.00 pm daily for access to/from Ma Wan Road, the roundabout between Ma Wan Road and Pak Lam Road, Pak Lam Road south of Fong Yuen Road, Fong Yuen Road, Pak Yan Road and the section of Pak Lai Road between Pak Lam Road and Pak Yan Road; and
   4. those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport.

The extent of the prohibited zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs.

At the same time, the existing prohibited zones in Ma Wan, Tsuen Wan as gazetted in G.N. 7756 of 2021 will be rescinded.
