ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374)
TEMPORARY SPEED LIMIT ON TOLO HIGHWAY
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 00.30 am to 05.30 am daily on 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29 May 2026, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometers per hour:
(a) the section of Tolo Highway (northbound) from a point about 60 meters north of its junction with Tai Po Road – Sha Tin (northbound) to a point about 1250 meters north of the same junction;
(b) the section of the slip road leading from Sha Tin Racecourse to Tolo Highway (northbound) from a point about 160 meters south of its junction with Tolo Highway (northbound) to the same junction;
(c) the section of Tolo Highway (southbound) from a point about 1250 meters north of its junction with Tai Po Road – Sha Tin (southbound) to the same junction; and
(d) the section of Sui Cheung Street (southbound) from a point about 60 meters north of its junction with Tolo Highway (southbound) to the same junction.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
At the same time, the existing speed limit of 100 kilometers per hour on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
