TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE
Traffic and Transport Arrangements at Edinburgh Place, Central

        Notice is hereby given that to facilitate works, the following traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented at Edinburgh Place with effect from 6.00 am on 10 May 2026:

A.     Road Closure

The section of Edinburgh Place northbound outside Star Ferry Car Park will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

B.     Traffic Diversion

1. 1. 1. Affected vehicles on Connaught Road Central eastbound heading for western section of Edinburgh Place will be diverted via Connaught Place northbound, Connaught Place eastbound and the new slip road leading to western section of Edinburgh Place; or via Edinburgh Place northbound outside City Hall Car Park, Lung Wo Road westbound, Man Yiu Street southbound and Connaught Place eastbound and the new slip road leading to western section of Edinburgh Place; and
      2. Affected vehicles on Connaught Road Central westbound heading for western section of Edinburgh Place will be diverted via Connaught Place northbound, Connaught Place eastbound and the new slip road leading to western section of Edinburgh Place.

C.     Relocation of Motorcycle Parking Spaces

40 motorcycle parking spaces at Edinburgh Place outside Star Ferry Car Park will be relocated about 20 metres northward.

D.     Relocation of Bus Stop

The bus stop of CTB Route No. 13 at Edinburgh Place outside City Hall will be relocated the bus stop at Connaught Road Central outside City Hall.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on-site to guide motorists. The bus company will display notices to advise passengers on the above arrangements.
