ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (Chapter 374)
TEMPORARY SPEED LIMIT ON FANLING HIGHWAY, NORTH DISTRICT
In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 1.00 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. on 22 May 2026, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to the speed limits as specified below:
- the section of the slip road leading from So Kwun Po Road northbound to Fanling Highway westbound from its junction with So Kwun Po Road northbound to a point about 170 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour;
- the section of Fanling Highway westbound from a point about 350 metres east of its junction with Pak Wo Road Elevated Road (near North District Community Health Centre Building) to a point about 60 metres east of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour; and
- the section of Fanling Highway westbound from a point about 60 metres east of its junction with Pak Wo Road Elevated Road (near North District Community Health Centre Building) to a point about 1790 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
At the same time, the existing speed limit on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
