ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN MONG KOK
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 13 July 2026, the following road sections in Mong Kok will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

- the southern kerbside lane of Boundary Street from its junction with Lai Chi Kok Road to a point 15 metres west of the same junction;
- the southern kerbside lane of Boundary Street from a point about 10 metres west of its junction with Sai Yeung Choi Street North to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction;
- the northern kerbside lane of Playing Field Road from a point about 10 metres west of its junction with Tung Choi Street to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;
- the southern kerbside lane of Playing Field Road from a point about 70 metres west of its junction with Tung Choi Street to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;
- the section of Sai Yeung Choi Street North from its junction with Boundary Street to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction;
- the section of Tai Nan Street from its junction with Prince Edward Road West to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction; and
- the section of Tung Choi Street from a point about 35 metres south of its junction with Playing Field Road to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
