Transport Department Notice

Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on
Kwok Shui Road, Tsuen Wan

        Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the road works on Kwok Shui Road, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 10:00 a.m. on 18 July 2026 to 8:00 p.m. on 26 June 2027:

(A)   Traffic Arrangements

(I)    Road Closure

    1. The section of Kwok Shui Road westbound between Cheung Wing Road and Fu Uk Road will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic; and
    2. The section of Fu Uk Road between Yau Ma Hom Road and Kwok Shui Road will be converted from two-lane-two-way traffic into one-way southbound traffic.

(II)    Banning of Turning Movement

    1. Vehicles will be prohibited from making left turn movement from Cheung Wing Road northbound onto Kwok Shui Road westbound;
    2. Vehicles will be prohibited from making left turn movement from Kwok Shui Road eastbound onto Fu Uk Road northbound; and
    3. Vehicles will be prohibited from making left turn movement from Fu Uk Road southbound onto Kwok Shui Road eastbound.

(III)   Traffic Diversion

    1. Vehicles on Cheong Wing Road northbound heading for Kwok Shui Road westbound will be diverted via Yau Ma Hom Road westbound and Fu Uk Road southbound;
    2. Vehicles on Kwok Shui Road eastbound heading for Fu Uk Road northbound will be diverted via Cheung Wing Road northbound and Yau Ma Hom Road westbound; and
    3. Vehicles on Fu Uk Road southbound heading for Kwok Shui Road eastbound will be diverted via Kwok Shui Road westbound, Castle Peak Road-Kwai Chung eastbound, Cheung Wing Road Roundabout, Castle Peak Road-Kwai Chung westbound, Texaco Road Flyover northbound, Texaco Road North northbound, Tsuen Kam Interchange and Texaco Road North southbound.

(B)   Public Transport Arrangements

    1. KMB route no. 36 (Tsuen Wan West Station – Lei Muk Shue (Circular)) will be diverted via Cheung Wing Road northbound, Yau Ma Hom Road westbound and Fu Uk Road southbound before resuming its normal routing. The en-route stop at Kwok Shui Road westbound outside Mita Centre will be suspended.
    2. N.T. GMB route nos. 83A(Tsuen Wan (Chuen Lung Street) bound), 86 (Hoi Kwai Road Public Transport Interchange bound) and 86A(Tsuen Wan (Chuen Lung Street) bound) will be diverted via Cheung Wing Road northbound, Yau Ma Hom Road westbound and Fu Uk Road southbound before resuming its normal routing. The en-route stop of the abovementioned routes at Kwok Shui Road westbound outside Mita Centre will be suspended.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive with utmost care.
