In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 0.30 am to 5.30 am daily on 24 July 2026 to 2 August 2026, the following sections of San Tin Highway and Fanling Highway will be temporarily subject to the speed limits as described below:

(i)     the section of San Tin Highway eastbound between about chainage marker 33.2A and about chainage marker 32.1A will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour;
(ii)    the section of San Tin Highway eastbound between about chainage marker 32.1A and about chainage marker 31.4A will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour; and
(iii)   the section of Fanling Highway eastbound between about chainage marker 31.4A and about chainage marker 30.8A will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.

        At the same time, the existing speed limit on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
