In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. of the following day daily between 18 July 2026 and 31 August 2026, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to the speed limits as described below:

(i)     the section of San Tin Highway northbound from about chainage marker 37.8A to about chainage marker 37.5A will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour;
(ii)    the section of San Tin Highway southbound from about chainage marker 37.5B to about chainage marker 37.8B will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour;
(iii)   the section of Tsing Long Highway northbound from about chainage marker 23.1N to about chainage marker 25.5N will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour;
(iv)   the section of Tsing Long Highway northbound from about chainage marker 25.5N to about chainage marker 26.4N will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour or 80 kilometres per hour;
(v)    the section of Tsing Long Highway northbound from about chainage marker 26.4N to about chainage marker 27.2N will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour;
(vi)   the section of Tsing Long Highway northbound from about chainage marker 27.2N to about chainage marker 38.1A will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour or 80 kilometres per hour;
(vii)  the section of Tsing Long Highway northbound from about chainage marker 38.1A to about chainage marker 37.8A will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour;
(viii) the section of Tsing Long Highway southbound from about chainage marker 37.8B to about chainage marker 26.0S will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour;
(ix)   the section of Tsing Long Highway southbound from about chainage marker 26.0S to about chainage marker 25.1S will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour or 80 kilometres per hour;
(x)    the section of Tsing Long Highway southbound from about chainage marker 25.1S to about chainage marker 23.1S will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour;
(xi)   the section of Yuen Long Highway westbound from its junction with Tsing Long Highway northbound to about chainage marker 39.2B will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour;
(xii)  the section of Yuen Long Highway eastbound from about chainage marker 38.3A to about chainage marker 38.2A will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour; and
(xiii) the section of Yuen Long Highway eastbound from about chainage marker 39.5A to its junction with Tsing Long Highway southbound will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.

        At the same time, the existing speed limits on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
